tough times

HUD originally intended to delay payment on previously awarded Congressionally approved housing contracts and federal court action quickly ensued to hold HUD accountable and to see funding go forward to Continuums of Care across the country. AJW and other non-profit housing agencies are still waiting and watching for this to play out.

Our board came together to strategize on next steps in the event we receive limited or no funding. These conversations and workgroup planning sessions are ongoing. For now, we are cognizant that we will need major modifications to our operations and vision if funding is cut or eliminated and this could greatly impact our residents.

Currently, we have added 6 new units of Permanent Supportive Housing to our portfolio and will add 3 more units by the spring of this year. This will strengthen our real estate portfolio and contribute to our financial stability.

The following foundations helped to expand our portfolio last year:

The Weinberg Foundation
France-Merrick Foundation
The Abell Foundation
Middendorf Foundation

Thank you. We are immensely grateful.

Lisa
